Help Us Fight Breast Cancer

Just today I’m addressing yet another envelope with a card of heartfelt encouragement and prayers from our staff to the young mother of 2 who has children in treatment with us. This is an all too common occurrence in our office as well as my personal life.
Almost 1 in 8 U.S. women will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of their lifetimes. We’ve all experienced it – who among us hasn’t had a close relative or friend affected by this? A friend of mine who was diagnosed with breast cancer and is now, gratefully, cancer free once said “Who is going to die first, me or the cancer?” Fortunately, it was the cancer!
There are nine women who work in our office – which means the chances are good one of us could develop breast cancer.
